The time and venue for the gathering was always chosen by the president of the Capris as they referred to themselves, in the event that the leader was incapacitated, the deputy would be in charge of making that decision. Stella Robinson was the current leader of the Capri women's gathering although their was rising tension in the group as the election period came closer.
Towards the end of every year in the month of December right before the end of year party, elections to vote for a new president were held. Stella had been the president for a good twenty years after overthrowing her mother in-law Loretta Robinson through a coup, since then their bad relationship had taken a turn for the worse.
Word on the streets of the rich was that some members of the group were frustrated that the Robinson women had been in power for so long it was time for a change.
