Hansen was lying down in a bathtub and was thinking of the conversation he just had with Spike, his 'boss'.
Thinking about it just seemed to put him in an extremely bad mood as he dipped his head underwater and screamed as loud as he can. Resurfacing after letting out his frustration, he decided to put an end to this charade once they went back.
Just when he was about to get out of the bathtub and got up, he suddenly felt an explosion, which caused the building to shake, in turn causing him to fall back in.
Wondering what the hell happened, he rushed out after putting on a bathrobe.
**********
Outside the building, Della stood in shock as she stared at the hole in the building in front of her. She looked to the side to see the one responsible for it, who was smiling very happily.
"Well, that should do it."
Seeing Jerry put away his rocket launcher, Della screamed at him,
"What the hell is wrong with you!?"
Jerry seemingly got scared at that, as he immediately hid behind Tom. Glancing at Jerry, who was peeking at Della from behind him, Tom shook his head and looked at Della. Ignoring the angry look on her face, Tom said,
"You can go now."
"Huh."
"You've done your job."
Seeing Tom wave his hand in dismissal, Della got pissed as she laughed in anger and took out her mace to bash his head in. As Tom smirked when he saw her take out a weapon, someone shouted at them.
"Who the hell are you people?!"
Looking at the man in a bathrobe, the Whisker pirates just stood in silence as Della tried to hide her face by lowering her hood, if it could even go any further down.
Hansen looked at the weird group that had assembled in front of their residence. Going by what his subordinates were telling him, they seemed to be the ones that blew a hole into the building.
Seeing that they were not really responding to his question, Hansen ordered some of the people around him to go bring Spike. After they left reluctantly, Hansen took in the five people.
He recognized one of them as the one he saw back in the tavern, the other four were a kid, a blue haired guy, who was smirking provocatively at him, a pink haired guy who seemed to be contemplating whether to stay or run and finally a woman, going by her figure, as she had covered her face.
As he was competing in a staredown with the blue haired man, he heard something being dragged behind him. Breaking the stare, he looked back to see it was his people dragging Spike, as the man had apparently fallen asleep after drinking too much.
Looking at the sorry state of his 'boss', Hansen momentarily forgot about the group that attacked them and ran over to kick Spike.
"Wake up, idiot!"
Getting kicked out of his dreamland, Spike opened his eyes and looked at Hansen lazily. Letting out a big yawn, he questioned,
"What?"
"You! Do you not see the big hole here!?"
Muttering what the hell this guy was on about, Spike raised his head to see where Hansen was pointing and saw the wall that was partially destroyed.
Thinking who could have done this, Spike sat up when he saw the people that were standing outside. Immediately, his attention was grabbed by Tyke, who was looking at him with a shocked expression.
Spike's own surprise did not last long as he started laughing soon after, with Hansen and his subordinates baffled as to why.
Getting up, Spike walked over to Tyke, which let the Whisker pirates, mainly Tom and Jerry get a good look at Spike as they had never seen him.
He was over eight feet tall with long gray hair and a scruffy beard. With hulking muscles that were bare for everyone to see through his open sleeveless jacket, his appearance was enough to scare away the run of the mill pirates.
Tyke watched his father laugh and walk over with a smile, which caused his anger to flare up. Gritting his teeth, Tyke asked,
"You, what's so funny?"
"Huh, I'm meeting my son after a long time. Why wouldn't I be happy?"
As Tyke raised his head to glare at his father when he heard that, Spike finally noticed his son's angry expression and tilted his head in confusion as he asked,
"What? Not happy to see your old man after a long time?"
The question seemed to piss Tyke even more, as he swung his fist at his father. Catching the fist with his palm, Spike looked at his son with an expressionless face, having lost his smile and said,
"What're you doing, son?"
Tyke's glare intensified when he heard that and he grit his teeth in anger. Trying to understand why his son would get so angry, Spike thought for a moment and asked,
"Is it about me leaving you there?"
"...."
Though he got no answer back, Tyke's eyes were enough for him to understand. Praising himself to be a great dad, as he could read his son's thoughts through just his eyes, Spike smiled and said,
"Come on now, forget about that, stop putting a damper on our reunion. Let's go and party. Oh, did you have your first drink already? I guess you've had it. Oh man, I always wanted to share it with you…"
Seeing Spike just keep talking after letting go of his fist, Tyke swung his fist again, only for it to be caught again. This time however, it seemingly angered Spike, as he said with a frown,
"Even I have a limit to my patience, Tyke."
"..Don't."
"Huh?"
"Don't act like you're my father after all this time."
Hearing that, Spike's frown deepened as he tightened his grip on Tyke's fist and said,
"I get it. You're not in a state to talk right now but it's okay. You will, after I beat you down a little."
As Tyke got ready for a fight when he heard that, Spike's arm, which was still holding onto Tyke's fist was grabbed by someone.
Looking at the hand on his arm, Spike looked to the side and saw that it belonged to the blue haired man.
"Oi oi, you should ask my permission first if you want to fight my underlings."
"Underling?"
"Your 'son' is part of my crew."
Though he was initially curious as to why this group of people had tagged along with his son, Spike understood now and looked at his son and asked,
"You're a pirate?"
"...."
Taking his silence as approval, Spike threw his head back and laughed, even letting go of Tyke while doing it, causing Tom to let go as well.
As Tyke watched his father's strange reaction, Spike finished laughing and looked at his son with a feral grin and said,
"It's great to see you be a pirate, son! Just like your old man!"
As Spike was feeling very happy, he heard his son say,
"Did you not care?"
Seeing his father tilt his head in confusion, Tyke asked,
"Did you know what the people had to suffer through after you left?"
Hearing that, Spike dropped his smile and made a somber expression for a moment. Scratching his head, Spike said,
"Well, some stuff happened back then. It'll take some time to talk about it. How about this, why don't you come back in a while, then we can have a proper conversation."
Seeing his father glance towards the broken wall, Tyke understood and contemplated for a moment and decided trust his father and turned around. It would also let him cool his head when he came back later.
As his crewmates and Della started following him, Tyke heard Slike say,
"It hasn't been long since you've been a pirate, huh?"
Just when he was about to turn around to face his father, Tyke saw an arm burst through Tom's chest, skewering him.
"Lesson 1, never trust anybody."
"You bastard!"
As Tyke swung his fist at Spike in rage, the latter ripped out his hand from Tom's chest and slapped away the attack before punching his son, sending him crashing into a stall on the side.
When he turned to see the others who had accompanied his son, Spike noticed a ball flying towards his face and slapped it down, causing it to burst into smoke, which covered the entire surroundings.
Standing in the middle of the smoke, Spike could sense someone pick up the blue haired man and Tyke before running away and decided to just stand by and do nothing.
When the smoke cleared, Hansen joined Spike and asked while looking at the people running away in the distance,
"Should I send someone after them?"
"No, leave them be."
Looking at the group running away in the distance, specifically the woman who had tried to hide her appearance, Spike muttered,
"Was that the stowaway?"
As Hansen heard something but did not properly catch it, he asked,
"What was that?"
"Nothing. Prepare a ship for me. I'm leaving."
"What? What about the business we're here for?"
"Take care of it yourself. I'm done babysitting."
Though Hansen got angry when he heard that, he could not do anything as he watched Spike enter the building.
After he got back to his room, Spike rubbed his arm for a while and looked at it. Watching the red hand print left by Tom, Spike frowned and thought,
'Getting rid of him was probably for the best.'
