"Good," Aaliyah smiled, happy to see him in a neutral state again. She patted and stroked his hair soothingly, then cupped his cheeks with a light pinch on his chin playfully, "That's much better." Her smile grew, and so did the calmness that came over him.
Then, her smile vanished as she abruptly turned around and faced Theodore, putting on a stern face that meant business.
"Why are you here? My time is not up yet. I still have four more days to go," She tried to make her voice sound tougher, but it was still tiny and cute.
"I decided to come early and watch the show. I can see there have been some... significant chances," Theodore replied smoothly, his eyes glued to the magazine still.
"You're making us uncomfortable." She folded her hands.
"I'll be so quiet you won't even know I'm here," He said.
"No. We don't want you here at all,"
