"Hey, are you alright?" An unfamiliar girl stares at him shaking his shoulder.
"What's your name? Do you know where we are?" She questions him while looking around in the space around them, other people coming to at a similar pace.
"Garrick." He finally replied, his head wincing as a strange pain started to subside as he slowly came to of his surroundings and the girl. "And no I have no clue where we are I was just clocking off my shift…"
Garrick looked down and recognized the plain clothes he wore earlier today or whatever day it was last that he remembered on his way home from the coffee shop. His sock however felt a bit damp as he was standing on something wet, a puddle?
Before he could continue questioning where he was, a man appeared in the center of the room. A mask hid his face and his body was covered in a dark uniform that tightly snugged his body, two blades rested on his sides: a longer one resembling a longsword and a thin dagger.
"My name is Celadon and I am here as a guide." He looked around the room as if surveying and analyzing everyone here.
"Seems like there's not too many promising recruits this time around." He muttered under his breath. "I'm sure you all have questions but before you ask anything, say the word System for me."
The moment Garrick finished saying the word, a bright yellow screen flashed in front of him.

"I'm sure most of you have played some sort of video game so I don't think I have to explain your stats for you, but the grade by each stat you see are your innate values that affect how much each specific stat will grow as you level up," Celadan explains.
Garrick quickly comes to an understanding that his stats must be pretty good for them to be ranked A and S and rubs his chin in joy as a smile creeps on his face.
A hand raises, "Sir Celadon, it says I don't have a class, what does that mean?"
"Ah, perfect thanks for asking, In about a couple of moments you'll see another screen pop up in front of you. You'll be shown a couple of names, these are Classes."
The screen he mentions pops up in front of Garrick's view as Celadon continues. "You are given 6 random classes to choose from the system. It's up to you to choose which class you wish to pick, there is no wrong choice but do know that each class thrives based on specific stats."
"Also, beware that whatever class you choose will change your growth values for all your stats to better fit that class for better or worse. I've heard horror stories of a person who originally had an A ranking in Intelligence and Mana choosing a class that dropped them to a C rank in both. Once you pick a class you can never change it again, there's a way to advance your class but not to change it completely"
With that warning, Garrick looked over his choices with great contemplation.
[Available classes to select:
Swordfighter, Knight, Vanguard, Spearman, Magic Swordsman, Bishop]
~Bzzt~
Garrick's class menu screen fizzled and darkened in color for a moment before returning to normal. Everything remained the same except for a new seventh class on the menu.
[Available classes to select:
Swordfighter, Knight, Vanguard, Spearman, Magic Swordsman, Bishop, Mana Savant]
Garrick looked at his menu puzzled at the new class, the name intriguing him. Thinking he might have gotten a special class he read the class description.
[Mana Savant - Those who control Mana itself, weaving their mana to battle with limitless potential. Wield mana with your very being and forsake all else in its pursuit.]
Garrick thinks to himself, "This class seems insanely overpowered, especially with how good my stats are."
A switch flips in his head as Garrick's laughter erupts across the room as others stare at him suspiciously, "I'm GOING TO BE FILTHY RICH, AND POWERFUL HAHAHAHA!!!"
Without even looking at the rest of the classes over again he quickly mashes his finger on the Mana Savant class.
[Do you wish to select Mana Savant as your class?]
"Of course, I'm not stupid"
[There is no way to change classes once you confirm, are you sure?]
"YES, GIVE ME MY DAMN OP CLASS!" He shouts in annoyance as he spams the confirm button.
[Mana Savant class is confirmed, stats will adjust to better fit chosen class]
A notification screen pops up.
[Title "Is this a strong guy?" has been removed, new title "Womp Womp" has been gained"]
"Huh?" Before he could even question the notification his new status screen flashed open.
