The conference room was in complete disarray.
Hill was barely holding on by a strand, and even with Gunther and some of the other Espers' help, it didn't seem to help.
It was jarring to see Gunther after everything he had heard, but Kellen did his best not to react negatively to the sight of him. Gunther's wound had healed up considerably, and Kellen wondered if it had anything to do with his conversation with Rhys. Was he just trying to show it off to the people who cared about him?
Kellen wouldn't ever have the answer to that question. He was never going to be able to ask Gunther, since he wasn't going to reveal that he knew what was going on. Especially since he was sure he wasn't going to be able to hide his negative reaction.
