Everly released Ivan's arm and walked closer to where Lev was kneeling, her eyes narrowing as she folded her arms across her chest. "Go on."
Lev sighed, shifting uncomfortably as he struggled to keep Artur upright. Artur's unconscious form leaned heavily against him, making the situation even more awkward.
Seeing Lev's situation, Everly's expression softened slightly. "You can stand up if you want. I'm not forcing you to kneel down there," she offered, but tried not to look friendly to him.
Lev nodded gratefully, gently lowering Artur onto the soft grass. He stood up, brushing off his knees, and bowed his head. "We came to apologize for trying to kidnap you, but since my partner here is unconscious as of the moment, I will speak for the both of us," he cleared his throat. "It was wrong of us to do something like that, miss, but we were just following orders."
