Ania was so confused. She had just left the room for less than three minutes, and now her mother was unconscious. She peeked into the meeting room and saw the councilmen, all getting ready to leave, with blood stains on their mouths and some with smudges on their noses. She squinted her eyes and muttered to herself quietly, "What the fuck happened? Why the hell is everyone bloody?"
She waited for all the councilmen to walk out before entering the meeting room. Her eyes darted over to Ivan, who was standing in the corner staring at his phone, with Sergei behind him. She approached him, shaking her head. "What on earth happened? I just left the room for a few minutes, and the next thing I see is everyone walking out with bloodied mouths and noses."
She looked over his shoulder to see Sergei, who also suffered the same thing, and approached him, cupping both his cheeks. "Oh, darling, even you too? Are you in pain? You should go see Arkadi."
