Mrs. Svetlana stepped out, and her hand immediately flew to her mouth as she stared down at the body, her eyes wide with shock and horror. About an hour later, the pack had already taken care of the body, but the whole pack was awfully quiet.
Ivan took Ania by the wrist firmly and led her into the gatekeeper's office. He locked the door behind him before turning to face Ania, a look of frustration on his face.
He sighed, wanting to say something, but Ania interrupted, "It was Sokolov again, wasn't it?" Her tone now sounded calm. "That's what you wanted to tell me, right?"
Ivan nodded and pinched between his eyebrows, trying to calm himself down too. "Yes, but how come we didn't hear any sound of a gunshot?"
Ania walked towards the security monitors and sat down on the chair, focusing on the screen. "Maybe they used a silenced pistol, but I don't see why, since they used a normal gun the last time."
