Lev tilted his head slightly in confusion. "What do you mean, 'now what'?"
Artur chuckled softly. "Even after going unconscious, you're still as clueless as ever. But at least that's how I know you're fine."
Lev snapped his fingers and laughed. "I'll take that as a compliment. But seriously, what do you mean?"
Artur looked down at the floor, breathing nervously. "By 'now what,' I mean, what are we going to do now that we failed our mission? Are we going to tell the boss? Should we even return to him?"
Silence hung heavily in the air. Lev had no answer for that question. They both knew what would happen if Sokolov found out they had failed. Lev leaned back against the headboard, shaking his head. "I don't really know," he admitted. "We're just going to have to find out."
