Ania sat in the front passenger seat next to her father with her arms crossed, gazing out the window with a frown. She continued to mumble words during the drive, making it clear that she wasn't happy about being made to accompany him.
Mr. Mikhail chuckled, glancing over at her."You know I'm not forcing you to go, right?" He paused, focusing on the road and swerving into another street."You can just get out and go back home, and I'll be on my way to a car dealer."
Ania scoffed, still refusing to look at him. "Just hurry so we can get this over with." At this point, her father was just trying to taunt her and she did not like it.
Most of the drive was quiet until Ania finally decided to break the ice. She turned to her father and asked, "Why are you and Mr. Sokolov enemies anyway? Ivan only said that he often annoyed him by taking deals that were meant for him, but I still don't know why YOU and Sokolov are enemies."
