Without waiting for him to say another word, Ania quickly slid the box over to him.
Mrs. Svetlana, also curious, stood up and walked over to see what was inside. Mr. Mikhail picked up a small knife and carefully sliced through the tape, lifting the lid to reveal a bottle of champagne and a note. He lifted the bottle out and showed it to Ania. "Bomb, indeed."
Ania chuckled, but her curiosity wasn't satisfied. She grabbed the other box that had been mailed earlier and handed it to her father. "Open this one too."
Mr. Mikhail sighed again. "Will you leave us alone if I do? Your mother and I would like some time together."
Ania quickly nodded. "Yes, yes. You two can smooch all day long, and I won't bother you."
