Natalie stood in the office, tapping her foot on the floor relentlessly. Her eyes were fixed on the door Damien had exited moments ago.
She narrowed her eyes in suspicion, her hands on her hips and muttered to herself, "Something is definitely wrong. How can he expect me to stay here and believe that nothing is wrong? No, I have to find out what's going on."
She made up her mind and walked towards the door. Peeking out, she saw Damien turning a corner down the hallway. She slipped out of the office, closing the door silently behind her, and followed him, careful to make no noise.
As she reached the corner Damien had turned, she paused and peeked around it. She saw him muttering to himself and pressed herself against the wall, holding her breath as he turned slightly, almost catching sight of her. She couldn't hear the words he was muttering, but it was clear that he sounded scared.
