Sokolov paused, fiddling with the gun in his hand. He tilted his head and contemplated for a moment. "I suppose I could spare your life for now, for giving me the information I need."
The man's eyes widened in disbelief. "For now? So you're going to kill me later on?
Sokolov nodded slowly. "That's right, but only if it turns out that you lied and named Ivan just to save yourself, I will come for you and your entire family."
The man nodded frantically, his entire body quivering still with fear. His soul had almost left his body for a moment. In his mind, he was already planning on how he would flee the country if he got out of the Sokolov residence alive.
