Everly slowed down as they neared the crash site, scanning the area intently. "Keep your eyes peeled."
Ania squinted, then gasped as she spotted a figure struggling up the hill. "There they are!" she yelled, pointing. "It's Sergei, and he's got Ivan!"
Everly slammed her foot on the brake, bringing the car to a halt. They both bolted out of the car and ran towards Sergei, who was struggling under Ivan's weight.
"Ivan, Sergei!" Everly cried out, "Oh, thank goodness, you two are alright."
When she saw Ivan up close, bloodied, and with the piece of clothing around his stomach, she covered her mouth in shock. "Oh my goodness."
Ania, catching up, chuckled nervously. "Okay, before you say anything, I'm going to admit it myself. You were right about Ivan being hurt after all, but at least he's alive."
