As they descended to the first floor, they met Ania emerging from one of the guest rooms, her eyes glued to her phone. She looked up, noticing their outfits, and cocked an eyebrow. "Where on earth are you two headed?"
"We're going on a date to the theme park downtown," Ivan replied with a grin.
Ania's eyes widened in surprise. She chuckled nervously before turning to Everly. "Everly, can I speak to Ivan privately for a moment?"
Everly smiled, nodding. "Of course. I'll be waiting outside." She stepped out of the mansion and closed the door behind her.
As soon as Everly was out of sight, Ania's expression shifted to a frown. She crossed her arms tightly over her chest, glaring at Ivan. "Really, Ivan? Of all the places you could choose, it had to be a theme park. One of the most exposed places imaginable."
