They ran outside, and Everly's heart raced as she spotted the man hopping onto a bike and speeding away. "Over there!" she exclaimed, clutching Ivan's arm and bolting towards their car.
Slipping into the driver's seat, Everly caught the keys tossed by Ivan. With a roar, the engine ignited, and without hesitation, she floored the gas pedal.
The car surged forward, tires screeching, as Everly maneuvered through the bustling streets, carefully dodging other vehicles.
"Where do you think he's headed?" Ivan shouted over the noise.
"No clue, but we can't let him escape!" she replied, her eyes fixed on the fleeing man ahead, slowly catching up to him.
Ania followed closely behind in her car and dialed Ivan's number, and he answered, "Stay on his tail, Everly!" Her voice crackled over the phone.
"I'm on it!" Everly replied, her grip tightening on the steering wheel as she closed in on the target.
