In a burst of sheer will, he closed the distance, leaping onto the creature's massive, segmented body, using the rough ridges as makeshift footholds to climb higher.

'Almost there,' Seung gritted his teeth, feeling the strain in every fiber of his being. The millipede bucked violently beneath him, desperate to shake him off, but Seung's grip was unyielding. The creature's sharp scales bit into his palms, drawing blood, but he barely noticed—there was no room for weakness, not when everything was on the line.
