"Uh... Where am I?" The question echoed in Hael's mind, resonating like a hollow bell. His vision blurred and swam as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. The dim light in the room did little to help. He could barely think straight, the confusion clouding his mind. His body, though in great condition, felt strangely disconnected from his thoughts.
He could feel his stomach churn and his limbs tremble. The sensation was unnerving, a feeling as though his insides were in turmoil. He fought the urge to retch, focusing instead on steadying his breath. In through the nose, out through the mouth, he told himself. Calm down, Hael. Get a grip.
