A pang of knives throbbed in her heart. The words of the Queen were like stubborn scissors that cut open the wounds that she had deeply buried within herself.
'I am just like my mother.' she repeated in her mind. As if the time had stopped, she was dazed, her hands continuing to pat the queen.
"Why did my biological father not help my mother when she was being driven away?" She whispered, and yet her aggressive tone lay underneath it.
"Because he realized his love for her too late. It's a very long story, dear," the queen answered.
