For some reason, she felt like her existence melted in the presence of Hael, especially after the way he kissed her forehead. She absolutely could not think or feel straight in his presence. So hiding was her only option.
While she continued to walk, from the corner of her eyes, she saw a group of girls cornering someone. 'This doesn't seem good,' she breathed out. She would have loved to turn a blind eye, but again, she did not want anyone to suffer the way she had to.
So she halted her tracks and went to the narrow alleyway. On closer inspection, she could see a taller girl in the middle.
"So you are the one who is a thorn in our princess's future? Don't you feel ashamed to even be in her presence? You have already lost your place, so get lost." The bolder girl babbled.
"You should be ashamed to even breathe the same air, princess," another girl mocked.
