Isabelle caught sight of Isla, walking alongside three other flight attendants towards the crew office to report for duty. As their eyes met, Isla and the others made exaggerated "eww" faces, eliciting a laugh from Isabelle.
Just a short while ago, Isabelle had been in their spots, working together with them and taking to the skies with all the associated challenges and joys. But now she was on the other side of the boarding gate, accompanying her fiancée and mother-in-law on their way back to New York.
"Don't tell me you're in first class." Isla asked, approaching Isabelle as she waited for Rayleigh to check them in at the business and first-class counters.
"Yeah," Isabelle replied, her gaze fondly fixed on Rayleigh and Madelyn.
"Damn," Isla said, pulling Isabelle into a tight hug.
Isabelle chuckled, "Still get the employee discount, though."
