Rayleigh gently brushed a stray lock of hair from Isabelle's face, the soft rise and fall of her fiancée's chest a soothing rhythm in the quiet room. Careful not to disturb her sleeping lover, she carefully extracted herself from the bed. Rayleigh stepped out into the balcony to call her brother.
"Matthew," she greeted, her voice low but warm.
"Ray," her brother's voice crackled through the line.
"How's Kritsana's status, Matt?" She urged him.
"The extradition process is moving forward as planned," Matthew began, his tone measured and professional. "We've been working closely with the authorities; we're also finalizing the extradition with the family now."
Rayleigh let out a small sigh of relief. "Alright," she murmured. Rayleigh let out a slow, steady breath, her mind racing with the implications. "That's good news."
