Once they had returned home, Madelyn found herself unable to shake the lingering sense of unease that had settled over the family. Determined to make amends, she sought out Isabelle and her mother, Ane, with a profuse apology.
"I feel absolutely terrible about what happened earlier," Madelyn said, her voice laced with genuine remorse. "Even after Camilla left the theater, it still felt so... awkward. And almost ruining our dinner."
