Isabelle put down her phone and shifted her position, effortlessly settling herself onto Rayleigh's lap, her favorite position of all places in the world,
"Is what Mona said last night true, baby?" Isabelle asked.
Rayleigh's brow furrowed as she recalled the previous evening's conversation. "Jules sending medicine for Lauren?" she asked, her question mirroring Isabelle's.
Isabelle nodded, her eyes searching Rayleigh's face for answers. "Yeah."
"It was the truth," Rayleigh confirmed, her voice soft and sincere. "She's using her own money to send boxes of medicine to Lauren. I think it's because Roxanne is coming to ask her to pitch in."
Isabelle's expression softened, and she reached out to gently caress Rayleigh's cheek. "Are you not joining her?" she asked again, softly.
