"Oh, it's going to start getting cold again," Bianca said while cleaning the exam room.
As a pediatrician, Lauren has been seeing a lot of children's patients during her time in Port Alsworth. While she can still use her general examination skills for older patients, for more complex cases, she has to refer them to a larger hospital in Anchorage. However, since she's been practicing in Port Alsworth, she's noticed that more children are healthier and fewer severe cases are being sent to the hospital.
"I've already asked my friend to give us some winter jackets for you two," Lauren said to Bianca. "We'll be much more prepared this winter, unlike last year."
