In Vershia, in their living room, Josephine sat with three of her children as she watched her husband enter the council hall. He looked so strong, so controlled, but she knew better. Behind the mask he presented to the world, he was a man of emotion. She hoped that emotion would not get in the way of getting Rhodes back or, at most, work in her favour. Rhodes was home. She wanted to go home.
She watched him as he addressed the court; his voice was so controlled and unwavering. She hoped the people could see what they had missed in the past seventeen years. She hoped they could see the strong leader they had been deprived of. She hoped they could listen and take in his side of things.
