Lucia snuggled into Michael's side as their car arrived at the theatre. A show was premiering here, and Michael had surprised Lucia with tickets. He bent down and pressed a kiss on her forehead.
"Don't tell me you're tired already," he said to her.
As she looked up at him, she felt her eyes glaze with love.
"I'm not," she said, "I just like being close to you."
He smiled. "I can live with that."
But then he frowned and told her, "If you feel tired, we can always go home first."
"I'm fine," she assured him as she shot him a glance.
Was he kidding her? She was not giving up any second she had with him. She was not forfeiting any new experience she could share with him. Besides, she'd been wanting to see this drama since they announced it was coming out. How could she not go now? And with how busy she was, she doubted she'd have a chance to see it before it stopped playing.
