After they left the temple of love, Lucia and Michael picked up their bags from the storage kiosk and headed home. During the drive, Lucia forgot about the strange priest who'd somehow known Michael at a glance. Maybe he'd just recognised him from his appearances in the news. Or maybe he'd been there when Queen Miriam brought both her sons to see the temple of love.
They took the side entrance into the palace walls and then slipped into the palace. They turned a corner to take the stairs back up to their rooms and stopped in their tracks. Lady Vogel was standing at the top of the stairs looking right at them.
She smiled down at them and began to walk down the stairs. Lucia and Michael stood where they were, waiting.
"Lady Vogel," Lucia said in greeting when the woman reached the bottom of the stairs.
