Chapter 119 - Homesick

Caroline, Alexander and Adela got out of the car and the housekeeper saw that their luggage was taken inside. Lucia and Prince Michael decided to stay for dinner. Lucia saw that Caroline was watching their father keenly. She was acting it out like she really missed him but Lucia knew there was more to it. She was making sure he was okay. He looked okay. There was something different about him. He was sitting up straighter, less distracted, and more clear eyed. Whatever that had changed, she approved. This was the side to her father she had never seen before. She liked it.
