Chapter 13 - 10: SERIOUSLY? SHE BLACKLISTED ME?

[KELVIN]

The head office of the Dragon Clan exuded an air of power and secrecy. As the Devil King, I sat behind my imposing desk, sipping coffee, while Edward , occupied the chair across from me. The room was dimly lit, shadows dancing on the walls, as if anticipating the storm that was about to descend upon us.

A sharp knock interrupted our quiet moment. "Come in," I called, my voice steady.

The door swung open, revealing a young man in a crisp suit. "Good morning, sir," he greeted nervously.

"Morning," I replied. "What's the situation?"

"Tiger Clan is here, waiting in the negotiation room," he informed me.

I nodded. Tiger Clan—the ruthless rivals. Their leader, Tigraman, was cunning and dangerous. We had a history, and it wasn't pleasant. But business was business, even in the underworld.

As we descended the stairs to the negotiation room, Edward muttered under his breath, "God, please…I don't want to deal with blood today."

I smirked. "I doubt your wish is coming true. I have a bad feeling about this."

"How do you know?" Edward asked.

"Sixth sense of a man," I replied cryptically.

"Isn't that famous for women?" he quipped.

"Maybe." I shrugged. We entered the room, and there they were—Tigraman and his entourage. Armed men flanked them, their consigliere sitting like a spider at the center of the web.

"What a pleasant thing to meet you again, Devil King," Tigraman sneered.

I leaned back, unimpressed. "I can't say the same, Tigraman."

His anger simmered beneath the surface. "If you invited us to talk about that fool Michael and his 50 million, then—"

I raised my hand. "Let me correct you. He didn't invest; you manipulated him."

"He gave it willingly," Tigraman retorted.

"Regardless," I said coolly, "you have to give it back."

He laughed. "Keep dreaming."

I gestured dramatically. "Do you think you have a choice?"

In a heartbeat, I pulled out my gun, shot a guy in the leg. Tigraman's men tensed, guns drawn but not daring to fire.

I took the file from one of my men hands and throwed it at him. As soon as he opened it colors were drained from his face.

"Take a look at it…like it?...This is my negotiation," I said. "Think they'll like it? I doubt it. I've already given you the best option."

"You call this negotiating? It's threatening," Tigraman seethed.

"The final choice is yours," I replied. "And don't assume only you can play dirty."

He pushed a check toward me. "Fine. Take it."

I pocketed the check. "Good. I'll take my leave."

Back in my office, Edward sank into a chair. "Finally dealt with."

"But he won't remain quiet," I mused.

"What can he do?" Edward asked.

"No idea." Edward's phone rang suddenly.

 "Hello?" he answered.

"oh ok." He said cutting off the call.

"Ms. Karrin's in ICU," Edward informed me

"oh." I said not knowing how to react

After a minute I suddenly remembered. "And Agent Red?" I said "Did you talked to her?"

"no" he said

"why?" I asked

"She blocked us," Edward confessed. "You're on her blacklist."

I was stunned.

"Seriously? She blacklisted me?"
