Chereads / Dark Lord in Twilight / Chapter 25 - 24. Night

Chapter 25 - 24. Night

Rosalie had arrived a long time ago, but she didn't want to interrupt the moment the two of them were having. However, when she saw that they were just staring at each other for a long time, she got impatient. When Rosalie got bored, she honked the horn. Hearing the horn sound, Alice and Tom snapped out of it. Alice looked at Tom but couldn't speak because whenever she looked at Tom, she remembered their romantic moments just now. Rosalie rolled down the car window and shouted.

"Are you two planning to wait there until morning?"

Tom looked at Alice and bid farewell. "Goodbye."

Alice, realizing that Tom didn't plan to come with them, intervened to convince Tom. "Come with us; don't get any wetter in this rain." Tom was about to refuse, but before he could speak, Rosalie supported Alice. "Alice is right, it's raining heavily, don't disappoint us." Tom actually planned to apparate home after they left, but these two wouldn't let him go. Unable to find a reasonable excuse, Tom reluctantly accepted the offer.

When Tom got into the back seat, Alice also got into the back instead of the front seat. Rosalie started driving the car. When Tom described the location of his house, Rosalie was already driving there. Rosalie already knew the location of this house.

Alice occasionally turned to look at Tom. Tom's dark hair was slightly wet, and the moisture from the rain had covered every strand of his hair. She tried to read his expressions; his eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and there was a tension between the faint lines on his forehead. His lips were pressed together, perhaps struggling with his thoughts.

Alice's gaze continued to maintain silent communication with Tom without breaking his connection with the outside world. With the peace and security of being with him, she shared the battle he was fighting within, trying to support him. With every glance, she tried to show him her deep feelings and sincerity.

Tom occasionally felt Alice's gaze and noticed her interest in him. However, dealing with his complex emotions, even when he was with Alice, was difficult. He reciprocated her gaze, but he couldn't escape the internal struggle within him. Alice's presence gave him a kind of peace and security, but the chaos within him still seemed to hold him captive.

As Alice sat in the back seat of the car, the rhythmic sound of the rain hitting the windows echoed. Her hair was slightly wet, and she exuded a sense of tranquility and calmness on her face. The light reflected by the raindrops emphasized her innocence and inner peace.

Her eyes, filled with deep thoughts and curiosity, looked back and forth between the gray landscape outside and inside. She was searching for something in his inner world, perhaps looking for answers.

The car stopped in front of Tom's house. Raindrops were sliding down the car windows, and the rain had turned into snowflakes because of the cold weather.

Tom thanked Rosalie as he looked at her. "Thank you for bringing me here." Alice smiled at Tom.

When Tom looked at Alice, his eyes were fixed on her smile, but he didn't stare too long to avoid drawing attention. Rosalie smiled as she watched the two of them in this state. Tom got out of the car and walked towards the house. When he reached the door, he turned back to look at the car. There was a sad expression on Alice's face. Tom was curious about the reason behind this sad expression.

Tom entered the house; he couldn't think about what had happened because he was too cold. Normally, Tom's body should not get sick under the spells that keep his body temperature high, but he had forgotten that he was cold when he was with Alice.

After taking a hot shower, Tom went to bed after eating dinner. He realized that he needed firewood to light the fireplace. He decided to go downstairs to get some firewood. He opened the door of the bedroom and went downstairs. Tom noticed that he had left the TV on downstairs and picked up the remote control to turn off the TV. Tom walked towards the glass door leading to the garden.

The rain outside had turned into snow completely. Tom opened the glass door to the garden and stepped outside. Realizing that he needed wood, Tom aimed his wand towards a tree in the forest and shook his wand to cut a branch from the tree. The tree branch floated towards Tom.

Tom split the tree branch to make it suitable for the fireplace. After taking the wood, he opened the door and went back into the house. After turning off the lights, Tom headed towards the stairs. He went upstairs and entered the bedroom. He placed the wood in the fireplace and aimed his wand at it. With a spark that emerged from between the wood, the fire started to burn.

As the room was enveloped in darkness, it was illuminated by the light of the fire. It was showing midnight, and there was a peace and tranquility in the room. As the flames danced slowly, creating shadows on the walls, everything in the room flowed with a calm rhythm.

The wind outside was creeping in through the window, accompanying with a faint hum. The branches of the trees swayed gently with the touch of the wind, turning into a rhythm that turned into a melody. These sounds created a turmoil in the man's mind, making him think about the past and the future.

The shadows formed on his face by the flickering light of the fire reflected the complex emotions in his soul. Maybe this quiet night would be the beginning of a transformation for him. Maybe when the morning sun rose, he would be ready to embark on a new journey. But for now, in the silence of the room, in the darkness of the sleepless night, he was only left alone with his inner conflicts.

Feeling the warmth of the fire and the sound of the wind outside, Tom couldn't fall asleep all night. As he tossed and turned in bed, he thought about past mistakes and uncertainties about the future. The howling of the wind made his internal conflicts even more pronounced.

The shadows cast on his face by the flickering light of the fire reflected the turmoil of emotions within him. Perhaps this silent night would be the beginning of a transformation for him. Maybe when the morning sun rose, he would be ready to embark on a new journey. But for now, in the silence of the room, in the darkness of the sleepless night, he was only left alone with his inner conflicts.
