"And even after doing all of that to me, you still weren't satisfied, so you took the title of Duke from my family and had them exiled or ...should I say killed?"
Before I could get my thoughts sorted out, Uncle Abraham once again hurled an accusation at my father, which made his eyebrows frown.
"...Who told you that, Abraham?" Father asked in a cold tone, his patience already at its limits.
"Who cares who told me that fact, Aziel? All that matters is that it's the... TRUTH!" Uncle Abraham disappeared from his spot as the electric sparks manifested in the room making the walls of the room collapse, allowing the crimson light of the moon to illuminate the floor where the thunder was crackling.
Suddenly appearing behind Father, He attacked Father's blindspot while he steadily stood in his place. His Blade, which seemed like a lightning bolt after having thunder infused in it, came slashing towards Father's back, and...
'FATHER!!'
...It connected.
Seeing the blade hitting Father, I screeched in disbelief.
'No, No, No... It can't be!'
I tried to grab the illusionary hovering screen in panic, but my hand passed through.
'NOOO-'
But My thoughts got cut short abruptly as the scene in front of me made my emotions fluctuate greatly once again in the brief period.
As Uncle Abraham's Blade followed its curve slashing through, Father ...or rather Father's image dissipated into a dazzling mist that completely overpowered the lightning sparks flying around the area.
"Tsk; I guess, Your Combat Prowess hasn't dulled any bit." Uncle clicked his tongue in annoyance, as the same kind of dark energy as Eugene's started emanating from him, but exceeding its power by a humongous margin.
He wielded a power so great that created a shockwave that seemed to stop time itself for a fraction of a moment throughout the entire Irin.
A power so absurdly beyond the common belief that made me flinch ever so slightly even though I had already died and was sitting beside the God of Life and Death himself, possibly the most powerful existence in the entirety of the multiverse.
"...But don't you dare underestimate me!" Uncle Abraham roared in anger with bloodlust palpable in his voice, and what followed was a Battle that held the potential to transform the terrain of the entire Irin and change the climate across the entire Everhart Kingdom.
It was a battle that I couldn't follow with naked eyes, and even after Mortivis enhanced my sight, all I could see was the purple and blue trails clashing with each other, thousands of times every passing moment.
CLANK
Sometimes both of their Blades Clashed against each other...
BURST
At other times, pure magical energy exploded under the crescent crimson moon that hung in the sky...
BOOM
Occasionally, the explosions which marked the beginning of the blood bath could be heard but they were almost...
SLASH
...always got overshadowed by the Sound of Air collapsing under the slashes of the Blades that those two colossal Swordsmen were swinging.
CRACKLE
Thunder could also be seen crackling in the sky, trying its best to reign destruction upon every being that dared to breathe in its presence but...
GRAZE
...all it ever managed to do was graze the Mystical Glacial barrier which appeared to be shielding the entire World itself from the wrath of the berserk lightning dancing in the raven sky.
It was a Disaster- ...No.
It was nothing less than a catastrophe, that too if I dared to put it mildly.
The Mastery that Father and Uncle were displaying over the elements of Water and Thunder respectively, were nothing sort of ordinary.
It was rather mindboggling to even think to what extent they would have trained to wield their respective elements of Magic like second nature.
I was fascinated by the Battle on going between them.
Even though, I knew that I shouldn't be feeling anything but worry as the fight going on was between my own Father and Uncle, the beauty of the Magic spells flying around the sky had the curiosity of the child existing somewhere in the corner of my heart, captivated.
The Barrage of High-pressurized Water needles, the Avalanche of Frost Flake spears clashing with the Soul searching Abyssal energy, and the electrifying thunder presented a magnificently radiant appeal to eyes, all the while both of them demonstrated the pinnacle of Swordsmanship... at least that's what I felt so.
And as long as the Glacial film was protecting the Irin, surprisingly, I wasn't worried at all about the lives of the citizens living under it because it all felt ...surreal as if what I was witnessing was a sort of exhibition of Magic in its finest form.
'Maybe I am extremely naïve and foolish to treat a Battle for Blood as a sort of entertainment...' A thought crossed my mind as my gaze never once left the hovering screen, deepening my wound of guilt and questioning my sense of self and morals... but before I could dwell deeper onto that thought, Mortivis muttered something under his breath which perked up my ears.
'Heh, Both of them do know a bit of magic, that's for sure.'
His lips were curled up slightly, forming a small smile in amusement.
And seeing that smile and hearing his words, my mind neglected that thought on its thinking,
'If a God is impressed by that, then I am just a mere human...'
**********
The Battle between Aziel and Abraham continued for what felt like an eternity.
Seconds went by...
Minutes went by...
Hours went by...
Days went by...
Weeks went by...
The Battle continued rampaging on, with the same intensity from both sides, for a Month straight until the Night of the Crimson Moon came once again upon the dark sky.
21st of every month most commonly known as 'the Night of the Crimson Moon' across the entire Melux.
It was famous for 'The Crimson Moon', A phenomenon where the Moon left its usual color to shine in a slight crimson light, although the occasion isn't something special for the common folks living in Melux as it was a rather common occurrence, for the beings whose souls are awakened and possess the power to convert the Mana into their respective field of Magic, it's one of the best times for them in a month to refine their skills and Arts as it strengthens the Mana around the world, naturally resulting in more powerful Magical Spells.
The dynamics in the fight going on between Aziel and Abraham who were always at equilibrium throughout the entire month, also started shifting on the Night of the Crimson Moon as...
BAM
...the Purplish trail crashed shattering the protective Glacial Film onto the Castle, rendering it into a pile of ridiculously expensive debris.
Lightning retreated from the sky allowing the crimson light of the moon to pass through to indicate that it had ended in the shade of the same crimson hue which had marked the beginning of that Battle as well.
"Huh... Cough It seems after all these years, I am still Weaker than the descendant Cough of the Hero Alfred." Coughing up Blood, A Blood covered Abraham tried to stand up removing the debris of the Castle that was sitting atop him, but his body failed him to perform such a meager task for someone of his caliber, miserably.
His disappointed gaze was fixed on Aziel, who was standing at most 10 steps away and despite fighting him for a month straight was standing on both of his feet with only a single line of blood running down from the left of his forehead down to his chin.
STEP
"...I don't know what the emperor could have said to convince you to rebel, Abraham." Aziel took a step towards Abraham, his ever-serene tone cracking due to his emotions running rampant.
STEP
"...Y'know, I believed that I had a great eye for people, but apparently, I overlooked something in befriending you."
STEP
"You said that how I killed your family after taking their title? ...It's a lie."
STEP
"I can't tell you the truth and even if I did, I don't think you would believe me as of right now."
STEP
"And as for Kiera, Yes, I am guilty to some extent ...but I have told you times and times again that it was her who fell for me first and I couldn't have her marrying someone she doesn't love."
STEP
"Hahaha, Cough Haha... I didn't know you were a comedian too, Aziel!" Abraham laughed, making the debris of the Castle under him rumble.
STEP
"You Killing My Family is a lie, but Cough You don't have any words to Back it up? And You expect me to believe that? Hahaha..."
STEP
"And You said that Kiera fell for you first? Hahaha... Let me also tell you something, Aziel." Abraham grinned.
STEP
"Do you think I, alone, could have planned all of that and Cough executed the plan without getting noticed by anyone?"
STEP
"...What do you mean by that?"
"I mean, exactly what you're thinking, Aziel. The one who made this possible and the perpetrator behind everything is none other than..."
STAB
Before Abraham could have finished his word, Aziel felt a sharp pain near his heart and as he turned around, he felt the biggest shock in his life.
"K-Kiera..."
...Behind him stood, Kiera von Everhart, his wife and the Queen of Everhart Kingdom.
