Chapter 3 - 3. And His name is...

When the gate opened of the room where I was lying down, I turned my head towards the door to look who had come in.

My parents were still wearing some unusual clothing, and two more people were coming in with them. One was a woman in maid's clothes following behind my parents; the other was a man dressed like a priest. They soon came near my bed and my mother picked me up, wrapping in a towel and then she walked towards the priest.

"Pope Eugene, Begin the naming ritual." My mother said to the pope in a commanding tone that seemed like it contained a lot of authority behind it.

I was taken aback by my mother's tone but most importantly her words, as I had no idea that I would be named today. However, I'm not complaining cause with a name, I can finally check my status and see what else 'it' has to offer.

"As you wish, Your Majesty," Pope affirms with Mother, respectfully.

At this moment when I heard the words 'Your Majesty', I slowly tilted my head to see my parent's unusual clothing again but this time paying close attention to the details and surely, they were befitting a king and a queen. After seeing them, a realization dawned upon me that I did not just get simply reincarnated but I got reincarnated as a prince! And at this new information I couldn't do anything but just let out a sigh as there were too many unpredictable things happening from the moment, I heard the voice of God of life and death in the void.

When I was grasping this new information and thinking how it would affect my new life, the pope named Eugene took me from my mother and pulled a pure white vial from his bag that he brought with him, closed his eyes, tilted his head upwards at a certain angle and started reciting something in an unknown language.

After he finished reciting, the vial started glowing in pure white light then he took some water from the vial, looked back towards my parents, and said,

"What name does Your Majesty have in mind for the prince?"

My parents looked at each other, nodded and then turning back to the pope, father said in a tone full of proudness that was also befitting a king,

"His name will be Aiden. Aiden von Everhart, the first prince of the Everhart Kingdom."

The Pope after listening to the father's word turned around and started reciting again in the same manner but this time the water started glowing instead of the vial and then after he finished, it vanished into thin air and my own body started glowing in blue light.

When Aiden was getting excited and curious to be able to see his status and was focusing on the notifications that 'it' was sending, the other persons who were in the room wore mixed expressions as they saw the prince glowing in blue light.

The pope had an insanely happy face that seemed like he might just start to float from sheer happiness, and the maid wore an indifferent expression but the other two did not wear such happy faces like Pope Eugene despite learning that their child had gotten the blessing of 'The Almighty Water Sovereign'.

After completing the ritual of naming the prince, all of them came out of the room where Aiden was and started walking in the corridor of the castle that seemed infinitely long then the pope said turning towards the king and the queen,

"Congratulations, Your Majesty. Your Highness seemed to have gotten the blessing of Almighty Water Sovereign who hadn't blessed anyone in the last millennia or so. It's an occasion to be celebrated throughout the kingdom. Please allow the church to hold a festival in celebration of the occasion."

Hearing these words, both the King and Queen frowned seemingly worried about something, and the king addressed the pope while exerting his S Rank pressure,

"Pope Eugene, I, Aziel von Everhart, as the king of Everhart kingdom asks you to be quiet about this matter and forbids you to even mention it going ahead in your life to anyone. It would be even better if you forget that you ever performed this ritual and whatever you saw." Aziel said increasing his pressure furthermore at the end of his speech.

"But--" Pope tried to say something although he was sweating and having trouble breathing properly due to Aziel's pressure but got interrupted when Kiera, the Queen of Everhart Kingdom, spoke up:

"Of course, We aren't telling you to keep quiet without offering anything, Pope Eugene. You and 'Your family' will get more than enough money and security for the rest of their lives to live as they like." Kiera threatened as she made her voice deeper when she mentioned the pope's family while wearing an indifferent expression like she had no emotions at all.

Pope flinched at the mention of his family as he understood the meaning behind Kiera's words, so he reluctantly agreed to keep his mouth shut about this matter because he didn't want any problem befalling his family by rejecting the King's request.

"Good. Now you may head back, Pope Eugene." Aziel said while taking his pressure back.

Eugene, finally able to breathe properly, nodded and went back in a hurry worried about his family. This confrontation made him question his loyalty towards the Everhart Kingdom for the first time since he became the pope of 'The Church of Almighty Water Sovereign'.

After Eugene was no longer in the vision, Kiera turned to the other person who was present at the naming ritual,

"Elsie, from today onwards you are relieved from the duty of being my maid, instead you will be Aiden's maid and make sure that Aiden getting the blessing from Water Sovereign remains so discreet that not even the air would get to know. Now you are dismissed." Kiera ordered Elsie, her maid or former personal maid, who in response just nodded and then merged into the shadows disappearing in the corridor.

After confirming that Elsie has indeed gone to her newly assigned work, Kiera's indifferent facial expression changed into that of a mother who was worried about the wellbeing of her child and if someone saw this expression on their queen's face, they would surely start doubting their own eyes.

"Az, do you think that Empire would come after Aiden if they learned about the blessing of the Water Sovereign?" Kiera asked her worry that was haunting her from the moment she saw her child glowing in blue light.

"Don't worry, Kiera. Even if the empire itself came after Aiden, I will make sure that nothing will happen to our son as long as I am alive." Aziel reassured Kiera despite his own worry, pulling her into an embrace.
