Wil called for a team meeting in their training room. The wide screen displayed various data points and holographic images of the Quarx. "We need to be prepared for anything," Wil began. "These creatures are incredibly adaptive, and we can't underestimate them."
Lawrence, still grappling with his own internal struggles, leaned forward. "Do we have any idea where they came from? How many more are out there?"
"We're still working on that," Wil replied. "But the Room's analysis suggests they might be targeting key locations for reasons we don't yet understand."
