The wolf huffed and puffed, each exhalation sending out clouds of mist that hung in the cold air like ghostly apparitions. Its breath was ragged, heavy, and full of malice, while foamy saliva dripped from its gnarled fangs, splattering onto the cracks of the floor.
Power…All I need to do is get stronger. It may take long but I'll reach the level of the gods, claim this world and the others, not matter the cost, this universe will end at the top.
The sound of its claws scraping against the stone echoed through the cavern, each step a thunderous reminder of its overwhelming power. The floor seemed to shatter beneath its immense weight, jagged pieces of rock crunching underfoot as it advanced, its eyes locked onto us with a predatory hunger.
Taking a deep breath, the dagger forms into my hands, still rusty, but it's the only weapon I had the skill I knew was to swing this thing around. I may not be as good as those fighters, but one thing is for sure.
I'll be the one alive in the end.
"You don't plan on killing that thing." The girl grip onto my hands to pull me back but I didn't budge.
Filling my head towards, "I'm not the boy you guys tried to kill." I reminded her. "This boy's body now belongs to me, so if you don't wish to get in my way move and I'll question you after." I say sternly looking at the monster in front of me afterwards.
The wolf drew closer, I could feel the temperature drop, the cold seeping into my bones, making my muscles tense and my breath hitch in my throat. It was like the air itself was being sucked out of the space, replaced by the oppressive aura of the creature.
All I know is that it can repel I don't know the effects or drawbacks it has. I tried to wrap my brain around where I have heard about this beast before however nothing but hazy memories comes to me.
Pushing the fear down, burying it beneath a growing resolve. This was no time to falter. I clenched my fists, knuckles white, and narrowed my eyes right at the best as it come charging at me as if it sensed I was ready.
"You're not strong enough." The girl says fear intertwined in her words as I hear her stepping back. "You'll die!"
"Strong enough..." I mutter glancing back at her. "I looked a god in his face while he was about to end me. I watched my fathers face as I descended the stairs to my death, and you think I'll die without a fight again!" I felt the rage building up in me.
Always being belittled, always on the edge of death, always have to fight to stay alive, and she thinks she have the right to say I'll die when I'm sure she grew up comfy as well.
I'll kill the beast and kill whoever ordered this boy's death.
"Gluttony doesn't fail me now." I tighten my grip on it as it hurls towards me at an uncanny speed like lightning itself.
Adjusting my feet behind me, "If the gods see this I hope you'll realize you've made a grave mistake in not taking me." The vision of my parents flashes again. "I'll be the one to end your happy lives. That will be your redemption." I mumbled to myself just as it reached a mere five feet away from me the muscles on my carbs tenses and I launched off leaving a dent in the floor in my wake.
"And I'll turn your perfect son into my weapon and in the end we will duel until the other dies!" I scream just as I slashes down on its snout, but as I expected it throws me off and even he recoils back from the force.

_________
"Fuck." I grumble as something slashes right at the side of my stomach, throwing me off my course and crashing to the floor.
My legs sparked, as a burst of energy shouts through my legs and up my body, the pure intensity of the power is so overwhelming it feels like my flesh is relating to the power. "Not now, use it." I get back up, and shout off.
This time my steps speed as lighting trails behind me as I avoid its foot as it try relentlessly to stomp on me which only results in the floor and walls around us to crumble.
However my luck caves in as it lands a hit on me with its back leg sending me straight into a wall. My back erupts with pain, and for a second my breathing is restricted, yet I still got back up removing myself from the wall just as it comes with another hit.
Why isn't it using its power more? I noticed all its moves are mainly fighting with its claws and not its powers.
"If a monster doesn't use its ability it's because it's either a, Protecting itself or b, running low on mana." I recalled the words laying deep inside my mind.
It has to apply all of its energy into its repelling function, and I'm sure it won't continue to take hits, it's all about stamina I have to last until its mana is finished.

Creature name finally analyzed
Monstag.
_________
Monstag, and its last of its kind, rare. The question is why?
My body radiated with power, my muscles pumping, beads of sweat dripping from my body as I hooked my arm around a clump of its fur, and pulled myself up. Dashing up its back I pour all my strength into my attack even though I get repelled back each time I do.
The light wind flowed into my body with ease, then it happened. Lighting sparks below my feet as it trails up its back, then like a spark my movement is quicker as lighting surrounds my feet as I evade the spikes on its back.
Just as I reach its nape, but this as I swipe down with my blade the lighting swirling around it, and my monster bursting with energy as I landed on its neck it's like waves of energy collided together and the repel was much stronger.
My body moves like a rag doll through the air and slams into the walls and it followed up with another attack. One of its nails swiped right arcos my chest and it was suddenly hard to breathe.
Yet again it wasn't the end as it rapidly clawed at me, each attack deepening me into the ceiling and some even managing to sink into my skin.
He stopped and I tumbled down, the air beating against my body and I hurled towards the floor.
I paid no mind to the system, only on my breathing as the air coming into my lungs grew lesser and lesser.
Breathe.
A searing pain bites at my open wound as the wind is slowly opening more.
Breathe.
The death of my family and their profound happiness with another child.
Breathe.
How weak I am against other threats.
Fucking breathe.
The role I was given is already going to be taken away from me.
Cipher fucking breathe! I can't die, I won't die! Not today!
