Jake smiled into space, his heart feeling warm as he tucked his cufflinks. Looking at himself in the mirror, he couldn't help but smile at how good he looked in his tuxedo.
Today was the day when he would make Lene his before the world. She was his most precious gem, all her understanding throughout his return made his heart swell in pride as his mind drifted back to the fateful day.

Jake felt his heart swell in pride on seeing them happy and safe.
"I couldn't miss such a day my loves, Happy birthday," he said, pausing midway on noticing Selene wasn't around, "where's your mom?" Foster cleared his voice, attracting the attention of the kids to him as they ran to his embrace.
