The twins jumped in excitement as they stepped out of the jet. "Dad, is this really New York?" Breanna asked excitedly.
"Yes, pumpkin, welcome to New York City," Jake replied as he watched the joy on their faces.
The kids settled in after hours of chattering about what they had seen on their way to the hotel. Jake found his way to the balcony as the cold evening air welcomed his warm face to the outside space.
This was yet another opportunity he got to visit New York City. He looked at the view from his penthouse enjoying the distant colorful lights that looked like fireflies.
His phone buzzed revealing George on his caller ID. "Hey man, what's up," Jake asked, imitating George's playful mood.
"Hey man, how are you and the kids?" George asked, chuckling.
"We are good just settling in, too bad that you two couldn't tag along, the view here is awesome," Jake said letting his friend know what he was missing out.
