The look of panic wore his face as the waiter brought his bill.
"Sir this is for you, from the lady you were with," the waiter said, handing him a written note.
Quickly unfolding it his face lightened up seeing a smiley face emoji drawn on the paper.
'Dessert is ready and waiting' Jake felt his heart calm down, a smile replacing his worry.
As he went back he couldn't help but wonder what Selene was playing at. Shivers crawled up his skin with anticipation.
Selene smiled as she closed the door after her. The evening went on quickly and lovely. He had done so much to surprise her and she planned to do the same for him.
