On reaching the main door, the cool breeze kissed Selene's face, making her shiver. As her bare feet hit the cold sand she couldn't help but feel amused at the decorative lights in the dark made it look like fireflies were everywhere around the compound.
Charlotte, who walked beside her, smiled looking at Selene's confused face. Charlotte stepped aside letting her friend walk alone as she understood what was happening.
As Selene walked following the lights, she came to a halt on seeing words written with lights in the sand at the beach.
'YOU ARE MY HEARTBEAT LOVE, I LOVE YOU.'
Selene's heart raced at the words as she let her eyes wander, looking for Jake. Her eyes settled on her kids who sat at a distance holding a 'We love you Mommy' banner. Her eyes burned with happy tears as she approached the kids, smiling from ear to ear.
"Ooh my darlings, you're the best, and I love you too," Selene said, tears rolling down her cheeks as she hugged them.
