Jake Lynn stood at the door of his children's playroom. Time had really gone by quickly without her. The twins were now six years and still, there was no news about Selene.
Deep down Jake still hoped for some good news to come his way. It hasn't been easy at all, but the children seemed to be getting better with time.
"Dad, you're home, I missed you," Bryson said, running into his arms happily as Breanna followed suit.
"Today I came back early because I want to take you out, guys, and I have some good news but kind of a surprise," Jake said amused at the excitement in their eyes.
"What is it, dad?" Breanna asked, making Jake laugh. She was always the curious one.
"If I tell you it won't be a surprise now would it?" Jake asked rhetorically, making the kids nod.
"Dad, do you want to surprise us on our birthday?" Breanna asked, trying to get a clue from her dad.
