After everything she'd been through in Morphantasia—trials, battles, and intense Primordial training—waking up early for school felt like an entirely different form of torture.
Just as she was about to settle back into her pillow for just one more minute, her door swung open. Standing there, arms crossed and looking entirely too awake for this hour, was her older sister by one year, Claire.
"Rise and shine, sleepyhead," Claire said with a smirk. "If you're aiming to graduate in two years, you can't be slacking now."
Blakely rolled her eyes, mumbling as she rubbed her eyes. "I just saved two worlds last night, Claire. Doesn't that earn me at least one morning to sleep in?"
