Nonetheless, Zara paid no attention to those factors and directed her attention to the salesperson, questioning, "What's the price?"
She glanced at Zara before shifting her gaze to the other two girls.
Rose approached and turned her attention to the salesperson on her side, remarking, "Shouldn't this shop prioritize their VIP customers?"
With a calm demeanor, the staff nodded, their eyes fixed on Rose.
"Pack me those two sets that woman wanted," Rose said without hesitation.
Despite her hesitation, the girl moved forward and awkwardly nodded at Zara before placing her hand on the sets.
Yet, as she was about to proceed, a clear voice interrupted her and said, "Contact your manager."
The girl serving Zara wasted no time in calling the manager, as Zara had asked.
The manager arrived at the location shortly after. He appeared to be a man in his forties, not the type to judge people based on their wealth.
Approaching the girl who had summoned him, the manager looked at the salesperson who called him. "Manager, this Miss called for you?" The girl pointed out who had called for him.
Upon seeing Zara's unassuming demeanor, the manager didn't act superior. He was aware that few people possessed the same demeanor and aura. And those are from high society.
So, he approached her respectfully and asked, "Excuse me, Ms. I'm the manager here. How can I assist you?"
"Doesn't your store follow the policy of First Come First Serve?" Zara asked calmly.
The two girls standing nearby burst into laughter and taunted, "Who cares if you like that jewelry? We like it too, so we're taking it." Jane chuckled at Zara's silliness.
To think a lowly manager would side with her.
The manager's expression soured upon hearing this. He glanced at Zara and politely said, "Excuse me, Miss."
With that, he turned away and faced the two girls who appeared to be sneering at them.
Approaching them, the manager inquired politely, "Excuse me, ladies. Is there anything I can do for you?"
" See, the manager ditched you and came to us even though you were the one who called him. That's the power of money and status," Jane proudly stated.
Not fully grasping the scenario, he summoned the salesperson who had called him and inquired about the situation. After getting a clear picture, he glanced at the two ladies and questioned, "Miss, are you certain about purchasing those two sets?"
"Why not? We're not short on cash," Rose confidently replied.
"Alright then, mam." He then approached Zara with a slight smile and asked, "Miss, would you like to purchase these two?"
"Yes." "OK, then."
Without budging an inch, he calmly stated, "The sets are reserved for this Miss. I apologize for any inconvenience. However, if you're interested in other items, I can offer you a discount to make up for it." He glanced at the girls.
"What are you implying?!" Jane yelled furiously. "Do you have any idea who we are?!" "Do you know who she is?! She's from the Davis family. Do you really think you can get away with this peacefully if you cross her?"
Rose observed the situation and in a voice laced with anger, she questioned, "Do you even know if she has the means to pay for those two?"
"Thank you for your concern, Miss Davis. We'll handle it."
The manager glanced at Zara and inquired, "Miss, do you want us to pack it or are you going to look for something else?"
"No, that's all. I didn't bring my card. Can..." Before Zara could finish her sentence, a loud mocking laugh interrupted her.
As everyone turned to look, they saw the two girls laughing hysterically, but trying to keep their composure.
"You didn't bring your card, but you still want to buy those things? Are you stupid?" Jane sneered at Zara with a look of disgust.
"Excuse me, ma'am. Are you folks looking around or thinking about making a purchase today?"
The manager couldn't handle it anymore and questioned Jane with an irritated tone.
"How dare you speak to me like that? Do you realize we could buy out the entire jewelry store if we wanted to? Who do you think you're talking to with that attitude?!"
"Please take your time and select what you like. And just so you know, we don't want customers causing trouble for others in our store," the manager stated as he signaled for a salesperson to assist them.
Then he turned to Zara and inquired, "What were you saying, Miss?"
"I can make the payment through my mobile. It's an international account." Zara's face was calm as she spoke.
She hadn't planned on being at the shopping mall today, so she only had her phone with her, no cards.
"Of course, Miss. That won't be a problem. Please come with me," the manager said respectfully, leading Zara to a waiting area for the payment process.
The other two girls glared at her, their expressions showing they wanted to slap her and beat her up. Rose felt everyone's eyes on her and was so embarrassed.
In frustration, she stomped her feet before storming out of the store.
Before heading out, she glanced at the peacefully seated Zara and clenched her jaw in frustration before leaving.
Jane trailed behind her, clearly upset.
Once the two of them were gone, the staff members dispersed the crowd and everyone returned to their tasks.
Meanwhile, after Zara had left, Ethan arrived at the waiting room twenty minutes later to search for her, only to find David standing there alone. Ethan's expression turned serious as he asked in a stern voice, "Where is she?"
David felt a chill run down his spine as he looked at his boss's angry face and recounted, "Miss went outside to look," while his boss's stern expression made him nervous.
"Why didn't you go after her?" Ethan asked, leaving the store without a second thought about the dresses he had picked for Zara.
"Miss told me not to follow," David replied, trailing behind Ethan with his head down.
Knowing Zara's stubborn nature, Ethan let out a sigh and dialed her number on his phone.
Zara, who had just finished paying and was waiting for her items, glanced at her phone and saw Ethan's name on the screen.
She didn't utter a word, just took the call and listened to a stern voice on the other end asking, "Where are you?"
Zara calmly replied, "Pure Jewelers." The call ended abruptly, and she realized he must be on his way here.
Sure enough, before she could even put her phone away, Ethan walked in and stood in front of her, gazing down at her.
"What are you getting?" Ethan asked, relieved to see her safe without needing to ask anything else.
"Just waiting for the jewels," Zara said, not even bothering to look at him.
Ethan comprehended and understood the reason behind her statement. She's indicating that she has already settled the bill.
He remained silent and simply shook his head with a heavy heart. "Don't know when I'll be useful to my fiancée."
