Chereads / The Resilient Heiress / Chapter 4 - Preparing for the Naming Ceremony

Chapter 4 - Preparing for the Naming Ceremony

Jack, Beck, and the other four brothers enjoyed playing with the baby. As Daisy has selected the location for the naming ceremony, Kylie, Andrew, and other family members discussed getting everything else ready.

Everyone took responsibility for the naming ceremony and began preparing everything accordingly. Once the labor work has been assigned to the servants, the respective teams are called and assigned tasks.

"Dad, Mom, have you guys decided on what to name our little sister?" After some time, Adam's brothers asked their parents.

The couple looked at the lads, and looked at each other before saying, "We have decided on a name, baby." "We apologize for not asking for your opinion."

As the lads discovered that their parents had already decided on a name, they turned to Alan. "Can we know our sister's name, Mom?" Alan walked forward and asked his mother after noticing his other brother's gaze.

The boys looked at their parents, waiting anxiously for word of their sister's name. The couple looked at the boys and said, "We will tell you guys the name only if you guys guarantee that you won't reveal the name to anyone before the naming ceremony."

"Is it okay with you guys?" said Andrew. The only thing that mattered to the boys right now was to find out their sister's name, so when they heard this, they nodded without thinking twice.

Seeing the boys' serious looks, the couple invited the lads forward and whispered the words to them. Hearing their sister's name excited the brothers, and they couldn't wait to call her that.

Even though they are still young children, they exhibit a level of maturity beyond their years. They all know what is proper and improper. Consequently, they will honor the pledge they made to their parents.

The old people were intrigued too, seeing smiling and whispering between the family. Mrs. Daisen curiously asked, "Can we also know the name of our baby?" along with Mrs. Adam.

Even with all eyes on them, asking questions, the couple and the boys were quite clear that they would not be sharing the child's name. When everyone bribed the kids with gifts, the kids did not even bat an eyelid.

In answer, the family groaned, understanding they would have to hold out until the day of the ceremony.

The next day, the members started handing out the invitations to only the close ones in their society. Everyone was busy doing what they were supposed to be doing.

.......

A few days later, Daisy visited her niece at the Adam estate and came back with two cars full of goodies. She entered the mansion and saw that everyone was gathered in the living room, working on the duties they had been given.

She made her way to give Kylie a reverse hug. Suddenly being hugged by someone, Kylie was shocked. Still, she felt that this was a familiar feeling and turned to see a lovely, dignified-looking face.

When she saw her sister-in-law again, she embraced her. "How come you planned to return now instead of returning on the ceremony day?" Kylie made a query with a smile on her face.

"How can I arrive late to my only niece's naming ceremony?" Daisy asked after hearing this. "Naturally, I have to be present and dress my baby doll by hand."

"Oh.." After hearing her sister-in-law's remarks, Kylie gave her a nod of understanding and gave her a glass of water to help her feel better. Daisy spoke with Kylie about her health and well-being after consuming some water.

Jenny had just finished glancing at her sleeping grandchild when she started down the stairs. Her face lit up with joy as she descended the stairs and saw her darling daughter-in-law chatting cheerfully with her daughter.
