Chapter 59 - A Murderer's Title

There was a simple, most important rule that almost every soul who was set to go on a journey across the outlands was given: if you encounter a person, assume they are not. A straightforward instruction all who tread through the outlands knew better than to ignore— ''others'' were no joke.

Usually, when encountering a person like they had just done, they'd simply ignore and be on their way, hoping to never see them again. And if it was indeed a person, they most likely wouldn't, as the person would have the same thought process.

However, now the situation was a bit more problematic, as explained to Aldric by Serina. Another would usually eliminate their target before they exited the outlands and most often very close to the border. That's why, in this case, they could not simply ignore the problem and hope it ignored them too. If they let whatever it is they saw wander away, there's a chance their lives would be at risk when they reached the border.
