Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: A Old Friend

Adam and Max walk through the halls to find Max's brother so he can help Adam make gear. They go in an elevator, going up into another building.

"Umm, Max, where are we going?"

"The VIP Dorms," he said.

"Why?" Adam asked.

"My brother lives here because he's part of a big family."

"But what about you?"

"My family hates me because I can't learn their ability; the only person who cares for me is my brother."

"That's kind of messed up. What even is his ability?"

"Robotic Creation: He can make anything he thinks of, and using demon ores lets him strengthen things he makes," Max explains.

"That's exactly what I need," Adam said with a smile as he stood before the door.

"Okay, are you ready?" Max said, opening the door.

"Lucas?" Adam said in shock, "I thought you were at Military Base 4."

Lucas was a tall guy with fluffy black hair, jet-black eyes, and a white button-up shirt halfway tucked into his black pants. He was one of Adam's childhood friends. They were best friends. They would always hang out and do things. He was the only one who was nice to him.

"Adam, is that you? You look so different; it's only been nine weeks since I last saw you."

"Yeah, I guess I do kinda look different."

"So why are you here? Max told me you needed help with ability training."

"Yeah, and I have a request also."

"What is it?" he said.

"So in Demon Weapons class, we had to fight demons and make our weapons, and I need you to make me some very strong gear," Adam said, throwing a bag of advanced to ruler tiers demon ores.

"Wow, how did you get all these?" Max and Lucas both said. "I guess I'm just stronger than you thought," he said, scratching his neck.

"So, what exactly are you looking for?" Lucas asked.

"A suit that can be put on and taken off easily," Adam said.

"I see... I guess I can do that; it will be easy because of my ability; all I will need is to see your ability and some of your blood," Lucas said.

"Okay," he said, activating his Fox cloak.

"Wow, what ability is that?" Lucas asked.

"I don't know; I can just do it. I can also do it in lightning," Adam replied.

Lucas walked up to him, injecting a needle into Adam and drawing some blood.

"Okay, hand me those ores," Lucas said as he started to glow and float in the air, as did the demon ores and Adam's blood forming around Adam, creating blue and gold rings on his fingers.

"Umm, not to be rude, but what the fuck am I supposed to do with this?" Adam said, confused.

"It's the suit you asked for; you said you wanted it easy to take off; just think a suit," Lucas explained.

As Adam thought of a suit with blue and gold armor, a blue aura jumped off of it, slowly fading onto Adam. [Plus 50% to all stats]

"Thanks; this is exactly what I needed, but I have to get back to class now," he said as his armor faded back into five rings.

On his way back to class, he tried thinking about a portal opening as his hands glowed blue and touched a wall, and a blue portal opened up. He walked through, appearing back in class and seeing everyone with their gear.

"Umm, how long were y'all waiting?" he asked.

"Fifty-five minutes," Drake said.

"My bad, my gear took a long time to make," Adam said.

"It better be good, or you're fighting the demons again," Drake said.

As Adam walked up to the front, thinking of the same suit from earlier as it slowly went up his arms, completing the suit. of the same suit from earlier as it slowly went up his arms, completing the suit.

Drake raised an eyebrow, circling Adam like a predator assessing its prey. "Not bad," he muttered, inspecting the sleek, glowing suit. The blue and gold armor pulsed faintly, radiating an aura of power. "Looks like more than just a fancy paint job. What's it do?"

Adam smirked. "Why don't I show you?"

Drake stepped back, gesturing toward the sparring circle in the middle of the classroom. "Fine. Let's see what it's made of. You and me—now."

The other students gasped, exchanging nervous glances. Facing Drake wasn't just a challenge; it was a guaranteed thrashing. But Adam didn't hesitate. He strode into the circle, his confidence bolstered by the new gear.

Drake cracked his knuckles. "I'll go easy on you, rookie. Just don't cry when I knock you out."

Adam grinned. "We'll see who's crying."

The two squared off. Drake lunged first, his fists glowing with raw energy. Adam barely sidestepped the strike, his new agility making him faster than he'd anticipated. He retaliated with a burst of flames from his gloves, forcing Drake to leap back.

"Impressive," Drake said, his tone laced with mockery. "But let's see how that armor holds up."

He charged again, his fist slamming into Adam's chest plate. The impact sent a shockwave through the room, but Adam barely moved. The suit absorbed the blow, glowing brighter as if feeding off the energy.

Adam retaliated with a spinning kick, his flaming blades igniting mid-strike. Drake blocked it with a forearm, but the heat forced him to step back.

"Okay," Drake said, smirking. "You've got my attention."

Adam didn't let up. He activated his Fox Cloak, flames erupting from his tails as his speed and power doubled. The classroom filled with gasps as he unleashed a barrage of flame arrows and lightning strikes, driving Drake onto the defensive.

Drake finally raised a hand. "Enough!"

Adam stopped mid-attack, breathing hard but standing tall. His suit shimmered, the energy stabilizing as it reverted to the rings on his fingers.

The room was silent for a moment before Drake let out a hearty laugh. "Well, damn, kid. You've got something special there. I'm impressed."

Adam grinned, his confidence soaring. "So, no more demon hunting for me?"

Drake smirked. "Don't push your luck. But you've earned some respect."

As Adam returned to his seat, the other students whispered in awe. Even Shawn and Elizabeth looked at him like he was a completely different person.

"That was insane," Shawn whispered. "What's in that suit?"

"A little bit of everything," Adam replied with a smirk. "And a lot of work."
