Chapter 51 - chapter 51: Different views

He blinked, unsure of what he had seen. His rapid change of expression did not escape the sharp onlookers.

"Son, you're finally here. We have missed you all these years," his old man walked forward. "Yes, we deeply regret what we did. We missed you so much," the woman continued.

"Who are you?" he asked emotionlessly. The crowd froze. "I am your father. Don't you recognize me?" the man was kind of shocked.

"I don't know you. Leave and stop calling me your son, unless you're tired of leaving," he said with a deep frown. One could see his muscles slightly trembling.

"Kleid, please forgive us. At that time, we had no choice," the man continued, trying to touch him.

Kleid's face distorted. He stepped back. "Don't touch filthy rag. Now you remember you have a son. You think you can just disappear and come back to claim what's not yours. All those years... I had to work hard to enter the Silver clan. I even got the title of the son of the Silver clan. Now you want to enjoy everything. Don't even dream of it. Take another single step, and believe me, you will regret not killing me that day," he cried out. His face was dark and twisted.

The old man was so scared he didn't dare to continue forward. The crowd was shaken. So Kleid wasn't the real son of the Silver clan leader.

What's more, these were his parents. Some felt delighted; Kleid had always acted superior in front of them. Seeing him in this situation made them clearly see who he was. Others felt angry; so what if they left? That wasn't a reason to be this cold.

"I see, so it was your plan," he said, staring at Amarok. "Good, well done Amarok. I didn't think you could be this low," he said with a laughing smile. He could feel the respect he had worked so hard to earn had crumbled. After this, no one would respect him, even with his status in the Silver clan. Everything he had worked years to build had crumbled in a fraction of a second.

Amarok could feel a chill from Kleid's gaze. He trembled inwardly. That was the first time he felt the intent to kill. "They are your parents, Kleid; you can't treat them like that. No matter what they did," Mist couldn't stand it and spat.

"Oh...now I get it, you and the little bitch had teamed up. Good, good, good," he said. "Watch your words." Amarok stepped forward. "How can you be so cruel? Do you have any idea about how much I would be willing to pay just to be able to see my parents? You know nothing. You're ungrateful," he spat out loud, his veins popping from his forehead. His heart was burning with sadness. He didn't have the chance to know his parents; they were decimated before he was old enough to think. He hadn't experienced the joy of playing with his sibling. He hadn't felt the warmth of a hug from his mother. His fingers cracked, his eyes red.

"Ohh...how sad," Kleid said with a smile. "Am I to blame if your parents were buried too early?" he asked.

"You," Amarok was losing control. His eyes turning red. Wisdom bit his foot trying to calm him down. The pain soared through his body.

Amarok snapped back to reality. The celestial guard had arrived, including some arcana elders. How could they allow a fight to happen today?

"Disappear from my sight," Kleid said without emotion. The couple stepped aside, and he left the crowd. The people who had been with him had all used the commotion to hide away.

The people resumed their stuff, dispersing as fast as they had gathered under the celestial guardian order.

Amarok turned to leave, not caring about anyone. Mist wanted to follow him but eventually decided against. He probably needed to be alone, she thought.

...

The day went by, the moon shone brightly. The floating lamps seemed even more lively all over the town.

The sky above the Grand Archia was shining brightly. The most lively place was certainly the Alden academy.

Amarok and Neo arrived together. He didn't want to, but could not flee; that was the city Lord's order. All the Alden academy students were supposed to be present.

The academy was lively. Amarok wore a robe with golden strands of red. It was extremely comfortable and perfect for his size. Neo too.

All the students wore the same thing. This made Amarok curious. Soon they arrived in front of the banquet hall. It was a huge dome-like building.

Its surface was smooth and constructed of emerald blue crystals. Under the moonlight and the decorations, it portrayed a breathtaking scenery.

The hall was huge. It didn't need luster; the ceiling made of emerald blue crystal providing enough light. It was light blue inside. It was the Caleod Dome.

The tables were adorned with exquisite dishes. All the Arcana elders were present, including Calder. Their robes slightly different; it had more of red than gold.

Among the most distinguished guests were:

- The city Lord. He was slightly further away from the crowd. He wore a long robe made of fire red and strands of gold. Next to him, a few people.

A man who looked more casual, in a plain but elegant robe. He was the headmaster of Alden academy. Both looked in their thirties and full of vigor.

thirty-year-old man stood not far from the city Lord and the others. His eyes looked sharp with a strand of silver on his black hairs. He was the silver clan leader, Skyl.

Elder Dorn of the Frostmoor clan. He looked elegant and calm. Next to him, a striking figure. She was the only teen allowed near those figures. Not only that, the reason why she was currently the center of attention was she wore a long gown made of golden and red. Her long white hairs were mesmerizing. Her face pure and calm. A simple yet beautiful pendant lay on her neck.

Amarok couldn't help but gasp.
