With a smile he left the school.
"The school year is over and I can forget about this place. At least for a while."Â
July came. Finally the time when he could play all day. In his quiet room, in a comfy chair with his headset. Without judgement from others. Those happy days were soon to come for Kota.Â
When he left the high school, he got on a bus as usual. But today, after a while, it stopped.Â
"I'm sorry, but we have unexpected difficulties. Sorry for the inconvenience."
What a pain.Â
Kota didn't wait. Instead, he left the bus and walked straight home. On the way, he entered a park.

In the middle of the park, tall trees provided pleasant shade while children were having fun, running around on the playground. Other children were enjoying eating their ice cream. The cheerful laughter of the children and the chirping birds gave the park a lively atmosphere. A smiling girl stood on a path and waved her hands. Parents relaxed on blankets, watching their children and talking to each other.
Kota looked around and walked on. But one thing caught his attention. A cart was moving slowly from the hill. It moved faster. And faster. In its path stood the waving girl. The wagon went faster and faster. The girl didn't see it. No one saw.Â
She's gonna be run over!
Kato rushed to the rescue. The car moved faster and faster. The people finally saw what was happening. The girl turned round and screamed. Kaito jumped, caught her in his arms and closed his eyes. After that, there was darkness.
