Chapter 4 - chapter 1 (part 3)

My grandma lived very close to our house, so I had no trouble making my way to her house. I was on a mission, and I wasn't about to let anything get in my way.

As I rushed up to her porch, I could already imagine my sister screaming at my grandma. I knew I had to act fast before anything more happened.

I rang the bell furiously, hoping for my grandma to answer the door as quickly as possible.

It was now or never. I needed to go in and stop my sister before it was too late.

Finally, I heard the familiar sound of my grandma's footsteps coming towards the door.

"I'm coming, I'm coming," she said, her voice sounding exhausted and worried. I could tell that she had been through a lot already, and I wasn't about to let it continue.

As I heard the door unlocking, I was ready to storm in and stop my sister. I had one chance to do this right, and I wasn't going to let anything get in my way.

I waited impatiently as I heard the turning of the lock.

The lock finally turned, and the door opened slowly. I saw my grandma staring at me, her face looking worried.

"Oh, dear, is everything okay?" she said, but I didn't have time to answer.

" is my sister okay? Are you okay?!"

"What?" She said in confusion

" sorry but I-uh I came to visit my sister " I stormed right past her, ignoring her worried questions.

Maybe she still didn't touch my grandma yet if that's true then , I probably have a better chance of stopping her before tries anything

I rushed to the living room. I could hear the sounds of a fight coming from inside, and my heart was racing

As soon as I entered the living room, I saw my sister holding a knife with ill intent towards my grandpa. Immediately, I snapped into action and rushed towards my sister to disarm her.

I didn't hesitate for a second; I knew this was my chance to save my grandpa and my grandma from this terrible fate.

As I grabbed the blade from my sister's hands, I could feel a surge of adrenaline flowing through my veins. I was acting on pure instinct and adrenaline, wanting to stop my sister before she could do anything else.

I wrestled the knife away from my sister, but she was trying to resist me. She was trying to get it back, but I was determined to keep it that way. I had to make sure that she couldn't hurt anyone else.

While trying to stop her my sister pushed me away in the middle of her range falling I hit my head hard on the couch

The force of my sister's push was unexpected, and I fell backwards onto the couch with a hard thump. A sharp pain ran through my head, and I felt a sudden rush of dizziness. But I had to fight through it and get back up again, because there was no time for a moment to rest.

" Your brother!" Screamed grandma seeing what had just occurred

"...."

" what did you do!?"

As I struggled to my feet, I could hear my grandma cry out in disbelief and pain. She was clearly shocked and devastated by what she saw in front of her, watching her grandson being assaulted by his sister.

My sister yelled back in an indignant anger, "He attacked me first." But I could tell that was a blatant lie.

The sight of my grandma's shocked and horrified expression was all I could see, and I was filled with guilt and regret.

The sight of my grandma's expression was like a stab through my heart. I had failed to save her, and now she was facing a fate that I couldn't let her endure. My sister's words only made me feel worse, as she tried to turn the situation around and make herself the victim.

I had to shut her down, and fast.

"Shut up!" I spat as I glared at her vehemently. I didn't care what she had to say, as her words only caused me more anger and grief.

"I know what you were doing, and I saw through your lies. Do you really think I'd fall for that nonsense?" I continued to glare at her, feeling the rage and frustration boil up inside me.

My sister was silent, staring at me with cold fury in her eyes. It was clear that she wasn't going to back down either, so I continued to glare back at her as I spoke.

"I saw what you tried to do, and I won't let you get away with it." I tried to keep my voice steady as I continued to glare at her, not wanting to lose my composure.

"What are you talking about?" My sister shot back, her voice was loud and defiant.

"Don't you dare try to act innocent, because I saw what you tried to do to grandma." I replied with a coldness I didn't know I was capable of. my voice was sharp and intense, and my gaze didn't waver an inch.

"Are you out of your mind?" The question seemed to catch my sister off guard.

"I didn't try to do anything to Grandma. I would NEVER hurt her!" She tried to protest, but that only made me more angry.

"Do you take me for a fool?" I snapped back. I couldn't believe that my sister would try to pretend like nothing had happened.

"I'm not pretending about anything!" my sister yelled back, her voice getting harsher and louder with each word. "Why would I ever want to hurt Grandma?"

I could see the genuine look of confusion on her face, and for a second, it made me question my beliefs. Was I making this whole thing up in my head? Was my sister really innocent after all?

"Because you're mad at her." I replied coldly. My voice was firm, and my conviction was unshakable. I knew what I had seen; I just couldn't let my sister get away with it.

"What reason would I have to be mad at Grandma?" She yelled louder. "We've always been close."

"You've been acting strange around her lately." I replied, trying to keep my voice even. "And besides, I saw your face as you had the knife pointed towards her."

I could tell that my words had struck a nerve, as my sister's face began to turn red. "What face?" She shot back furiously.

"There was nothing but anger and rage on your face, as you stared at Grandma." I stated, not wanting to back down an inch.

Grandma all of the sudden jumped on my sister with a rope choking her-I was caught off guard by my grandma's actions, as she suddenly jumped on my sister with a rope.

My grandma's actions left my sister speechless as she began to choke. I saw her face turning red and purple as she struggled to breathe. I was caught in between an urge to intervene and my grandma's determined actions.

While my sister was preoccupied with my grandma's sudden attack, my grandpa was quick to grab me and throw me away. It was clear that he didn't want me involved in this fight.

In that moment, I was caught off guard by his quick action, and I was thrown away easily, landing on my back with a hard thump.

As I laid on the ground, I saw my grandma holding my sister tight with the rope around her neck. I could see rage in my grandma's eyes, and it was clear that she wasn't going to let my sister go easily.

"Let her go." I yelled as I tried to get up. I was determined to put an end to this vicious situation immediately, but my grandpa wouldn't let me get near. He continued to hold me down, with no intention of releasing me from his grip.

While my grandma continued to squeeze the rope around my sister's neck, I couldn't help but focus on the knife that had been dropped on the ground.

It was clear that she had dropped the knife when she started losing consciousness, and my grandma's continued hold on her neck meant that she had still not released her from her grip.

" i will not let you ..get- away-from..me- " said sister to my grandma

My grandma's grip on my sister's neck tightened as the seconds went by, and I could feel the tension growing thicker.

I knew I needed to intervene, but my grandpa wouldn't let me move an inch. I was starting to worry that my grandma wouldn't be able to restrain herself.

My grandma's continued grip became too much for my sister, and she finally passed out from a lack of oxygen. I could tell that my grandma realized her mistake and finally let go, now that my sister was no longer a threat.

My grandpa quickly released me from his grip, and I rushed over to check on my sister.

I ran immediately to my sister's side as soon as my grandpa let me go. I bent down to check her pulse and breathing, hoping that she was still alive.

Why did my grandma attacked my sister like this? And- and- is my sister alive?

" Sis-sister?.." I said in confusion

I didn't know the answer to the first question, but I was more concerned about my sister's well-being. I listened for any signs of life, and for a moment, I feared the worst.

But just then, I heard a slight intake of breath.

"Sis...!" I said softly, filled with both relief and worry. I bent closer to her face to check if she was conscious, but her eyes were still closed.

But while doing that I failed to notice - the danger that is behind me

I was too caught up in my sister's condition to notice anything else around me. I stayed by her side, trying to monitor her breathing and any other signs of life.

But suddenly, I felt a sudden chill down my spine, and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.

Something was wrong. I could sense a danger lurking nearby.

My grandma jumped on me with the same rope- that she used for my sister-

" Good-"

Huh!?

" that kid is possessed by a demon- "

" Stay still and give me back my grandson"

I felt the cold chills on my back growing stronger. I couldn't stay still, I had to find a way to escape my grandma's grip, but she had me in a tight chokehold, and I couldn't get out.

"I'm- I'm not possessed!" I tried to yell back, but the chokehold made it hard to get my words out.

I couldn't help but feel fear as I struggled to get free.

"You have been possessed, and I'm going to fix it." My grandmother had no intention of listening to me. She was determined to 'solve the problem', despite my protests.

I continued to fight against her grip, trying to break free, but I was weak against her strength. I needed to find a way out of this situation, but how?

The lack of oxygen was making my vision blurred. I was starting to lose consciousness, but I refused to surrender to my grandma's chokehold. I kept struggling, trying with all my strength to get free.

However, I was growing weaker and weaker by the second, and I feared that I would soon pass out.

" Good- now I will take care of the other one"

My grandpa when to my sister and put his hands around her mouth and noise blocking her breathing

" after everything we did to raise you now yo,u backstab us? There is no way this is my son daughter! This is a demon!"

I felt my entire body shaking in terror as I heard my grandpa's words. I couldn't believe what he was saying about my little sister, or what they were trying to do to her.

"Don't you dare touch her!" I tried to yell back, but I couldn't force any words out. My body was shutting down rapidly and all I could do is watch in horror as my grandpa approached my sister with his hands around her face.

My body finally gave in to loss of consciousness, and I felt the world around me fading away.

- You have [died]-

As my life slipped away, I could only hope that my sister would be safe, but my fate was now out of my hands.

-Now calculating results..-

As the abyss of unconsciousness swept over me, I knew that my fate was no longer within my control.

I had tried everything I could to save my little sister and myself, but in the end, my desperation had only brought about my death.

- Entered 'Unpredictable [future] '-

I didn't know what lay ahead of me in this 'Unpredictable \[Future\]'. But I knew one thing for sure - it was no longer in my hands to decide what happens next.

Huh?
