"Is there something you need from me? I'm in a hurry to drop Marc off at school. How about we schedule another time?" I said politely, though my smile carried a touch of detachment and indifference.
Harrison frowned slightly, a shadow of deep pain crossing his deep-set eyes. Standing before me, his solid frame seemed to envelop me completely. I stared at him for a while before slowly saying, "Mechelle, I came here to apologize. Last night, I was too impulsive…"
I pressed my lips into a faint smile and lifted my delicate face to look at the eyes that had once moved me. However, just last night, he had hurt me deeply, cruelly dragging me back into past memories.
"It's okay, I've already forgotten about it," I said淡淡地, "Harrison, if you're just here to apologize, really, there's no need. You haven't wronged me; it's me who kept this from you."
