Mechelle's POV
"Mommy, what's wrong? You look a bit unhappy," Marc said, noticing my slightly pale complexion. His concern grew as he wondered if my unhappiness had something to do with Alexander Duncan, the CEO of PTG CO.
I managed a slight smile, knowing Marc was unusually mature and more sensitive than other children his age. I had poured a lot of love into him since he was little, but I was so busy with work at the time. I wanted Marc to have a better life and to gain recognition in the world of jewelry design. After six years of hard work, I achieved these goals, but I neglected to take care of Marc, causing him to understand the harsh realities of life at an early age.
"Marc, Mommy is fine. Don't overthink it," I said, affectionately ruffling his hair. This time, Marc didn't argue but fell silent.
I then asked, "Marc, how about we go back to Paris?"
